Designer Vincenza Cucchiara. Vincenza was born in Great Britain
and has nurtured a life-long passion and a sharp eye for vintage
apparel and accessories. As a designer and trend analyst, she constantly
seeks cutting edge ways to fuel her creativity. Inspired by her
mother's vintage
handbag collection, and upon observing a lack of such luxury
items on the market, she decided that the time had come to re-invent
and give new life to a timeless accessory, the handbag. Constantly
looking for contemporary ways to use Italian leathers, vintage
stones, and precious metals in unique creations, Vincenza is
inspired by the past and re-interprets classical designs in a
new and refreshing way which defines the very heart of the Queen
Kuture line.
The launch of her collection pays homage to her
mother and all the women who want to hold on to the essence
of vintage purses. They are recreated for today so that memories
and style continue to live through each bag.
Over a year of
research was spent seeking out quality craftsmen in Italy to
produce these confections. Many fine family run factories and
workshops have now closed as larger companies choose to develop
their products in the far east at lower costs, and, unfortunately,
couture items are becoming harder to obtain. Queen Kuture takes
pride in helping to sustain small family businesses and craftsmanship.
Every phase of the production is meticulously controlled: Each
bag is handmade by experienced craftsmen who spend over ten
hours on each item. We use the finest selection of skins, precious
metals, swarovsky crystals, and precise artisanal techniques.
The combination of creativity and experience, as well as a
strong attention to detail, makes the Queen Kuture bag superlative
in both design and luxury.
